artistic statement

The visual work of Anne Poitrenaud takes place at the  edge of abstraction. Her works question the duality between nature and culture: a mental landscape with which a human trace (writing, calligraphy, sign or symbol) interacts. There are the power, serenity and mystery of nature. Not by representing them, but by expressing the abstract essence. Culture shows through more or less evolved traces, from the raw brand to abstract calligraphy, or the presence of poetry extracts.

This is a question that Anne Poitrenaud shares through her works: between nature and culture, between sky and humanity. Question the abstract nature of things.
